Of West Allis, age 89. Was born in the city of West Allis June 18, 1928 to the late Lenoy and Lydia (nee Toupal) Sherwin. Jerry entered into God’s presence on August 9, 2017 to join his beloved wife Dianne and their Lord and Savior, Jesus.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Kenneth (Shirley) Sherwin, his step-son John Sinjakovic, and his wife of 34 years, Dianne (nee Skonieczny), his constant inseparable companion. He is survived by his step-daughter Sandra (Patrick) Vincent; his sons Lee (Cheryl) Sherwin and Philip (Tammy) Sherwin; grandchildren Jesse, Connor, Colton, Dillon, Rachel, Michelle (Grant) Keller, Luke and Brad; step-grandchildren Steven, Kristin and Michael; and special friends Rev. Edward and Irene Wihowski, and Wilma Flickenger. Also survived by other relatives and friends.
Jerry attended the University of Wisconsin and Spencerian College. He served in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of VFW Post 2304 and a member of American Legion Post 537. He was a retiree of Milwaukee County employed at the Milwaukee County General Hospital. Dianne and Jerry enjoyed their life together in the Lord and had many shared interests as a couple. He was a member of the Assembly of God Fellowship.
Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue in New Berlin, Wisconsin on Monday, August 14, 2017 from 4:00 PM – 6:15 PM. Funeral Service to follow at 6:30 PM. Private interment.
