Dear Chloe & famiy, Our thoughts are with you. Henrik was 'one of a kind' and was proud of his Danish heritage and so proud of you, Chloe. 'Scan Interiors' was and will always be an iconic Danish store. We cherish the many Danish fine design pieces we have in our home, thanks to Henrik & team. (At some point, in the future when we downsize, we will donate several teak pieces to Danish American Museums and Design Museums in the upper Midwest.) We did donate several pieces to Skovsoen (The Danish Village at Concordia Language Villages, Minnesota.) The students immersed in the Danish language & culture can now appreciate the fine Danish design from Scan Interiors. Cherish the memories you created together. Henrik made a difference in the world that shall be felt for decades.

Henrik was always larger than life - his love for everyone and everything filled the room. If you knew him, you probably think of him often. His spirit is stronger than anyone I've ever known. They say we live on in the memories of others. Some of my decisions are based on examples from Henrik. Many experiences remind me of Henrik. I'll bet this is happening all around the world with thousands of people many times every day. Henrik lives on in a huge, wonderful way. The sun never sets on the shadows and echoes of his incredible soul. R.I.P. my dear friend... You live on forever in all of our hearts.

I am a rich person. I knew Henrik and we grew up together in Mälholm/Vejle. Even though we were apart from each other in the everyday lift, we were still so close. That I felt when I visit Henrik and Chloe. It felt just like “ yesterday” Henrik was always the gentleman, had a good sence of humor, and a was a great friend. Always kept his feet on the ground. Thank you Henrik..It was a pleasure to know you. You will always be in my mind as the good person you were. My thoughts to the family.

Henrik was a caring soul, eager to extend a helping hand and encouragement to all...a real “Treasure” to his friends and family. He possessed an effortless charm that drew others to him like a magnet. He entertained with a quick wit that lifted the spirits of everyone he encountered. The list of those who will miss him is long. I am thankful to be one who has had the pleasure to know Henrik. My prayers go out to all of his friends and family in their time of loss.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Chloe, I remember going into your Father’s store for the first time in the 90’s to get him to buy some advertising in The Milwaukee Journal/Sentinel. Your baby picture was hanging on his office wall. I asked him about you. It was the start of a long lasting friendship with your Dad. We had a lot of fun times like going to Rio, golf, Christmas parties, your graduation, most recently boating with furniture buddies. He was a great Father for you, and a great friend to us. He left us way too soon. We will miss your Dad’s easy going caring disposition. He was always fun to be with. Wil and mary Vidal
