James D. Robinson “Jim”

Delafield – Jim passed away unexpectedly on April 5, 2020 at age 78. Loving husband for almost 55 years to Alice (nee Ernst), and together they created a loving family which included one daughter, Cindy Suszek (Dave Literski) and four sons; Jeffrey (Andrea), James (Jeanette), Jerry (Julie) and Jason (Lindzey). Adoring grandchildren Nichole (Dan) Koney, Justin Suszek, Angela (Garrett Wingo), Nicholas (Miranda), Alexander, Daniel, Ashley, Jordan, Aidan Robinson and great-grandchildren Brinley and Bentley. Brother of John (Sharon) Robinson. Further survived by former son-in-law James Suszek, additional family and friends.

Jim loved to learn and earned a Bachelor’s degree from UW LACrosse, a Master’s from UWM and worked towards his Doctorate at Marquette. He retired as an officer of UAW Brewery Workers Local 9. Jim loved to fish, spend time with family and watch sports. He especially enjoyed fantasy football and basketball.

Private services held. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Dear Alice and Family, I was sorry to hear of your loss today. Jim left a legacy of a very loving family, one that he was so proud of. All his children were successful and made him so proud. Both you and Jim were a very important part of My sons Mikey's life. Jason and Mikey had so many wonderful times together at your home with You and Jim. I know Muikey really respected Jim. I hope that Jim enjoyed his retirement years basking in the joy of his family. I am sure that you are in goods hands with Jason and Lindsay, and Cindy, and the rest of the family. Take care and call me when you are ready to venture out.
