Mary Kallas left a message on May 25, 2020:
So sorry to hear of your passing my friend. I will always remember Cheryl's wish to live long enuf to be there for her beloved Jim. I never saw a more devoted couple. When Jim and Cheryl decided to build their "river house" in Princeton on the Fox River, Jim would often comment he thought Cheryl meant she wanted a cabin to spend weekends at. Instead Chery had this big beautiful house in mind. I saw them on many of the weekends they came to Princeton. Cheryl was my college roommate and I was so fond of her, Jim, and Dale. Cheryl and Jim would landscape the church grounds, around the pastor's house, as well as giving me many hostas. As a military retiree, they would never fail to call and wish me a happy Veteran's Day. I know Jim is happy to be with his beloved wife whom he loved so very much. May God bless and keep you in his loving arms. I will miss you both more than you can imagine. Love, Mary
