James (Jim/Jaco) Clapsaddle of New Berlin, WI peacefully passed away December 13, 2020 in his home while watching the Packer game next to the love of his life.

Survived by his wife Lisa; married for 58 years. Children; Laura Wing, Eric (Amy) Clapsaddle. Grandchildren; Justine (Michael) Rivera, Tim Lutzen and Casey and Tom Clapsaddle. Sister; Judy (Danny) Sydlewski.

Further survived by extended family, SCHEAD family, and many, many friends. Jim loved his family and was very proud of them.

Jim served as an Army Veteran in the reserves. He worked as a field engineer for NCR for 37 years and maintained many of those relationships for life.

Jim had a very close relationship with Lisa’s family; Jim and Lisa took family brother/sister trips yearly and were able to see the world together.

SCHEAD family was a life started as a few hunting friends owning a cabin together, but evolved into a second family ~ a life of stories that definitely changed throughout the years, 4 wheeling and love.

Jim was an avid runner, active with the Badgerland Striders for many years, one of his greatest accomplishments was running the Ice Age 50 miler and continued to run most of his adult life.

With regards to COVID safety; A private immediate family service will be held.

A celebration of a life well lived will be held sometime this summer, when we are able to be together.

The family would like to thank the Aurora Healthcare Heart Failure clinic; specifically, Heather Sanders, NP and Dr. Tajik for their care and guidance during the last 6 months.

See Condolences

Jaco and his father, "grandpa Kilbee" as he was known to me around the house, was very close to us, and like a member of our family, the Hendersons. It saddens me more that I tried finding his info a few months ago, in hopes of sharing lots of time together to talk about my grandfather who passed away years before my birth, my dad, and of course himself and his life, about how much he, his father, and mother Lee meant to us. I can't say how much it meant for me that he stopped by my dad's funeral a little over ten years ago. It would have been just the greatest to have told him in person. Myself and my mom are just about the only ones left to honor his memory for the remainder of the family, and I will make sure to talk about him and his father at every possible opportunity. He is, and will be missed by me very much. Eric

Lisa and Family - our deepest sympathy in the passing of Jaco. While we have not seen you in some time, we always enjoyed our visits and sharing stories.

My sincere thoughts and prayers are with all of the family. My Parents, Marcell and Janice also send their condolences. I have many great archery golf and Wisconsin deer classic memories with Jaco. My parents always enjoyed meeting you guys at the Fireside for dinner. He was a wonderful, loving person and will be greatly missed. Please know that we are here for the family in any way.

Jim treated everyone he met as someone special! I was so lucky to be friends with his daughter and be able to share some special events with them! He always made me smile and feel like part of the family! He was such a loving father and husband and will be missed dearly.

My heart aches for Lisa and the family. Heaven has gained another good man. Such a pleasure and delight to have called him friend and fellow runner. Jim had an amazing sense of humor and kindness his love of life was infectious. Rest In Peace dear friend. Joy

I remember Jim put me on his back when I was little because we had a long way to walk. I will never forget the love he had for everyone especially his family
