Jane Ann Mehl

(Nee Spoerl) Went home to be with the angels on September 10, 2018 at the age of 85. Beloved wife of 66 years to Ronald. Loving mother of Jeff (Cheryl), Judy Peplinski (Randy), Kathy Tevebaugh (Tom), Kevin (Lisa), and Nancy Haberli (Scott). Devoted grandmother of Tim (Samantha), Ryan (Pamela), Kari (Brian), Julianna, Kyle (Alicia), Rachel, Danielle, Ian, Nathan, Kevin, Hannah, Matthew, Adam, Natalie, David, and Austin. Loving sister to Pat Skogerboe (the late Arvid), Kay Bierbaum (Ray), Jack Spoerl (Cindy), Craig Spoerl (Kate), and Marti Schultz (Jim). Further survived by 9 great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Preceded in death by parents John and Marie Spoerl and her brother Donald. Daughter-in-law to the late Hugo and Jeanette Mehl.

Jane, famously known as the “malt grandma,” will be remembered as a woman of great faith, positive energy and kind words. She helped support her family by working at Republic Bank for over 30 years. Jane was generous and always put others’ needs before her own. She enjoyed everything Packers, Badgers, and Brewers and eagerly supported her grandchildren in their many sporting events, theatrical performances, band and choral concerts. Jane was a devoted member of the church and enjoyed her time being a part of the bell and funeral choir.

Her beautiful life will be forever cherished in the hearts of her husband and children.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at 9:30 AM at St. Matthias Catholic Church, 9306 West Beloit Road followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11:00 AM. Interment at  St. Matthias Cemetery.
