Janice Millin, 80, of Germantown, WI, passed away Friday, February 18, 2022 from Ovarian Cancer and Alzheimer’s complications. Jan was predeceased by her father, Melvin Butzman, her mother, Evangeline “Boots” Butzman, and younger sister Judith Butzman Wilkins. She is survived by her son Shawn Millin, daughter Shellee Kremer, and 5 grandchildren: Conner Millin, Hunter Millin, Morgan Kremer, Meredith Kremer and Mallory Kremer: niece Jennifer (Michael) Nelson, nephew Jay (Tracy) Wilkins and grand-nephews Jaden Nelson, Cameron Wilkins and Carson Wilkins.
Jan grew up in La Crosse, WI where she spent summers on the Mississippi boating and water-skiing. She graduated from Central High School and later got her college degree from Concordia University.
Jan was a lively and extraordinary woman who loved to travel. She counted Africa, England, France and Germany among her favorite destinations. Even in her late 70’s she traveled to Ireland, helping a congregation to reconstruct a church. She loved hot air balloons and with her then-husband David Millin, owned The Sundance Kid, seen regularly at hot air balloon rallies.
Jan was a loving grandmother and great-aunt. Her final years were spent as a doting Grammy. Jan loved ice cream, giraffes, coffee, wine time with her friends and Elvis.
