I remember you coaching me and many of my teammates at the Dan Harris soccer camps in the late 80s. You were an Idol to us then. When you got back from the 90 World Cup you were a god to us. I patterned my game after yours and tried and failed to pattern my life after yours too. You were the reason my passion for our great game has been where it has been for the last 30+ years. You are the reason i coached and wanted to pass my passion on to the next few generations. God just scored 3 and conceded 0 by calling you home. I will see you again my friend and when i do i will get u back for that bloody a**es up game of 1988. To your boys head up, chin up your old man was a father to many young black soccer players. Thank you for sharing him with us all.

My sincerest condolences to the Banks family. Jimmy coached our 1985 ODP team. He was a great coach and person. I also played Mexican League soccer with his son D, a great soccer player and person, just like his dad. My grandpa died of pancreatic cancer too. I am so sorry for your loss and I pray for that day when we can find effective ways to prevent, treat and beat it so we can have more survivors. Rest in eternal peace!

From our days at Custer High School winning the Gold Division together, to the days we both became professional athletes.. there’s one thing that always kept us together.. which was the true appreciation for the time that God has given us here on earth..! For this I say.. thank you my brother and please remember.. Faith, it makes things possible, not easy..! God Bless you and your family.

Man G.G. it was awful to hear u had passed man from Byron kilbourn until we saw each other again at Custer now it seems funny knowing how moms used to take us skating at Johnson's and then when we was grown that you would stop by and say hello to the family , you know what ? You don't remember those things until after that person has gone RIH Mr.Banks god has accepted a real champion onto his team .
