John Eberhardy, 72, began his journey home, preceded in death by his parents Harold and Jeanne Eberhardy. Missed by his large, loving circus-like family. John was a loving husband, father and grandfather and his legacy will live on in all who knew and loved him.

John was a police officer in Milwaukee and retired in 2001 after 30 years of service. He lived a life of dedication to the community. He will be greatly missed, as Milwaukee Police Department calls; “95R” End of Watch.

The family is grateful for all the messages of love and support and ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

In accordance with John’s wishes, private services will be held.

I had the great pleasure to be John's partner for 8 years ('85-'93) back in the day at 5 Early. We worked together on Squad 51 and then Squad 95R. "Father John" was known by the great cops at District 5 and the people on the street. There are so many stories to tell I wouldn't know where to begin, from all the people we threw in jail, the people we knew on the street and even some nonsense from time to time. John and I stayed in touch all these years by phone or visit. John, you were a great partner and friend. Gone too soon! It is with a heavy Heart that I say good bye for the last time. I'll see you again someday "on the street". Rest in Peace!!!
