I had the pleasure of working with John at the Journal for over 10 years. He was an outstanding executive and an even better person! Salt of the earth and my deepest sympathy and prayers for the whole Jacobs family.

A wonderful, kind & funny man. I worked with “JJ” at the Journal Sentinel for many years.; back when the Advertising Sales staff were one big family. Those of us who worked for JS “back then,” still are to this day. You will be missed, JJ. May your memory be a blessing to Karen, your family and many friends. Rest In Peace My Friend.

Our sympathy to Karen and the family. There is no doubt John was a kind man and enjoyed life. We were fortunate to be a neighbor to the perfect retirement house they built. Peace for all, Ruth & Paul Picotte

My deepest sympathies to Karen and the Jacobs family. John and I were friends for many years, working together at the Journal/Sentinel advertising department in the 1970's. I introduced John to racquetball and he then became one of the early original members of the Wisconsin Athletic Club. Whenever I saw John over the years it was always a warm and friendly experience. I'm sure he will be deeply missed by his many friends and loved ones. Ted Torcivia
