John Harold Kleist

John Harold Kleist, age 63, passed away in his residence on November 16th, 2020. Lovingly survived by his children, Samantha (Anton) Best, Marisa Kleist, Joseph Kleist, Nicole Kleist, and John Kleist. Dear brother of Deanna Day (Dave Parajecki), Mark (Judi) Kleist, and Rose Yates. Loving son of Dolores Chromasta and preceded in death by his father Harold Kleist. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. John was born March 29th, 1957, in West Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He graduated from Juneau High school in 1975 and went on to work in the steel industry for Fort Howard Steel and Nucor. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, socializing with friends and raising his family. In 2010 he had a stroke, and his ability to do the activities he loved became more difficult. In the years leading up to his passing, he enjoyed sitting on the porch for hours in the sun. He always had an incredible tan! His children would visit him often and join him in bird and deer watching. He loved watching his children grow up and providing for them in the best ways he could. His kids were grateful to have had such an amazing dad. He will be missed dearly. A sincere thank you to the staff at Autumn Leaf in New Berlin. A special thank you to Willie, a caring and compassionate staff member who went above and beyond for John. Thank you to all the people who have been a part of his life.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
