John always had a smile on his face. I met him at Elmbrook Church and he made a big church feel small and welcoming. He had so many great and funny stories - he was always making me laugh. I will truly miss seeing his big smile every Sunday. He is definitely missed!

I will miss John's smile and stories at the family gatherings by his brother Rob. He would always invite me over to see his flowers or Christmas decorations in his yard. He was so happy and wanted to show it off.

I'll miss talking about cars and racing with John. Always very informative and knowledgeable. He was one of the best operators I ever worked with. Perfect attendance for so many years! He was one of a kind. I'm sorry I won't be able to attend his funeral because we have a family commitment up-north, but I will have him on my mind, I'm sure! See you later, Badge #1860!!!

I will always cherish the times John and I would work together. He was a very rare soul, one of the kindest people I have ever met, and an absolutely top-notch bus driver. And I will also remember fondly the times we just hung out in the KK station. Like the time, shortly after I was hired, we sat and watched the movie "Speed" on TV in the driver's room. and John took great delight in pointing out the many factors, things only a driver would probably notice. It was one of the first times I truly felt at home there. Thanks my friend. See you around.

I was very sad to hear about John’s death. You have my deepest sympathy. I always enjoyed our many conversations about plants, work, home improvements, and family. I would usually see him working outside when I came by walking my dogs. We will miss him.
