Laura...I never met John in person, although I feel like I know him very well. John and I collaborated on art projects. My watercolors on wood paintings have been changed forever because of John. His keen eye for detail and extraordinary talent behind the lens led him to be the most amazing wildlife photographer I have ever known. John was kind enough to give me images to use in my art, and I remember how thrilled he was that someone would want to use his images as a source for inspiration. I prayed for John regularly as I knew his condition was worsening. When he didn't answer the latest round of emails, I knew things had changed. Laura...I'm so sorry for your loss. I have been working to establish a fund to fight cancer from the proceeds I receive when John allowed me to use his images. We agreed on Children's Cancer and as I continue to make this happen, my hope is to honor John for years to come with with this endeavor. I would love to hear from you to continue to pursue this quest. Thank you and all my condolences Jim Brune

I cannot remember a time when John was unkind to anyone. I worked with him for many years and he showed respect to everyone. He is an inspiration to us all.

I worked with John in IT problems for many years, and even that I did see him too often, when we see each other we had the chance to talk a little about life out of work. He always had a smile for you even after he started having health problems. I will remember him as a great person forever.

John was a kind, sweet man, with an incredible smile. Although we graduated together from High School and shared mutual friends, I did not know him then. I met him so many years later through his wife, Laura. I truly wish I had known him much longer. Heartfelt condolences to you, Laura, and to all who loved and will miss him. I know I will miss him
