Joseph (Joe) Theodore Linskens was reunited with God on November 24, 2018, at age 84 after a short illness. Joe was a graduate of the Marquette University High School in Milwaukee. He was employed as a Master Machinist at Kearney & Trecker. He retired from the Wisconsin Army National guard as a Master Sergeant. He was the loving husband of Ann L. Linskens and a caring father of Jean (Mark) Lasee, Patrick (Sandra) Linskens, and Paul (Cathy) Linskens. He was the proud grandfather of Melissa (Justin) Wilson and Christopher Linskens. He was a loyal brother of Thomas (Sharon) Linskens, Charles (Renee) Linskens, Robert (Karen) Linskens, and Harry (LaVonne) Linskens. Joe’s spirit lives on through his family and dear friends.
Joe enjoyed reading, coin collecting, following the stock market, cheering for the Green Bay Packers, and spending time with his life-long companion, Ann. Joe particularly enjoyed annual trips to the American Players Theatre in Spring Green, Wisconsin and reunions with his comrades from the Wisconsin Army National Guard. In years past he enjoyed traveling to many places including Alaska, Arizona, Canada, Great Britain, and Europe.
Joe’s relationship with God was important to him and he will always be remembered for his very kind, warm, generous, and loving spirit. He was a master at showing his family that they were loved. He had a wonderful sense of humor that he shared even while during his last illness. He will be forever dearly missed.
The Linskens family sends a special thanks to the Elmbrook Memorial Hospital nursing staff and medical team for their tender care during Joe’s stay.
A celebration of Joe’s memory is planned for the Spring of 2019.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Elm Grove Public Library in his name.
