I attended Aunt Laverne's funeral and say didn't say much, I'm just a quiet person. I do want my Cousins, Wayne, Barbara, Larry, Jeff and Patti to know that their Mom has a very special place in my heart and childhood memories. She was so warm and spunky. She fed us good and made sure we all had fun and we did every time. I enjoyed the video presentation, its so nice that they captured the stages of her life and shared them with us. Bless you all, and hope to see you again.

So sorry to hear of Laverne's passing. She was a sassy broad who shared her love with everyone who came through her household (whether you were family or not). She and Tom were my friends parents; but I called them "Mom" & "Dad" from the earliest days of knowing them. Thank God we will all have stories to tell to keep her memory alive. My condolences to all, Mary Liz Frenn

Cathy and I are so very sorry and saddened about the passing of Aunt Laverne. But among the tears, we also smile over the fact that she is now with the Lord and again with Uncle Tom. So wish I could be with all of you to not only share the sorrows and comfort, but also to celebrate the joys and memories of her life and what she meant to everyone. She was a remarkable gem of a woman, so full of life, fun, happiness, caring, and love. She, Uncle Tom, and all of you we're so important to me growing up. The warm memories of being part of your family these many years has been and always will be a significant part of who I am. Your mom was really the centerpiece of all that for me. Her joy when we were all together, her sharing of our history (with pictures of course), the genuine interest she always expressed about me, my family, and siblings, her excitement to always bring me up to speed about each of you, and the simple, pleasant comfort of just talking with and listening to her added so much to my life. I always so enjoyed teasing her and then getting threatened with a slap, whack in the head, or something similar. But it was her love and caring that always shone most brightly through her stories, thoughts, and wonderful laughter. With that as the underlying bottom line characteristic of who she was, my memories of Aunt Laverne will always be filled with deep feelings of joy, happiness, and fun. I loved her a lot. Please hug each other for me (actually both of us), and know that you are all strongly in our thoughts and prayers during this tough time. You will all especially be in my heart tomorrow as you lay her to rest. Love you all, Tom & Cathy
