I met Les in late 1963 when we played in an RB band named the Lyrics. Les was a great base player, and is was a great time for all of us. After nearly 60 years, I met Les and Sue again two years ago at their home in Slinger and we talked about our lives and the "good old days" in the band. Les sent me a photo of that reunion and it remains on my refrigerator to this day, right next to my grandkids. It was a pleasure knowing you, Les. Tim in California

I met Les as a newlywed through Suzan. She and I became fast friends and she proudly introduced Les to me. They both welcomed me into their home and life. I as a young single girl didn't realize how intrusive I was to their precious new life, but they both were always warm. We created a lifetime friendship. I eventually introduced Les to my husband Ken. We enjoyed many lovely times together in each other's homes. We relished finding new restaurants to critique. We own several beautiful portraits that Les created for us. One is of husband and wife, mother and son and father and son. These are precious beyond words. Les loved to tease me and tried to rile me up on my opinion of things. It was done with friendship and never ugly. Les also nicknamed me Max and I loved it. I hated MO. It is with a very sad heart saying goodbye to a friend and man who loved his wife, his family and friends deeply. Rest in peace Les. My love, Maureen (Max)

Mr. Wallack was a great man, kind, caring and considerate. During my early 20s I met his son Jeff who has become a lifelong friend. During those early days of our friendship, I found myself in a jam, broken down car, and nowhere to go. I lost my job in Chicago, came to Wisconsin for a softball tournament, and my car broke down on the highway. Jeff drove to me, helped get my car towed, and took me to his house. Mr. Wallack opened his door to me, allowed me to stay in his guest room, until I got back on my feet. Over those few months, I learned what kind and caring man he was. I will never forget how he let me in, him and his wife, and basically made me part of the family. I will say it again, Thank You Mr. Wallack, you changed my life. You will be missed by me.
