To Mort's family, he was a handyman after being a letter carrier with my husband, Tom. Mort shingled the roof of our house in 1972. Tom followed his lead and shingled the garage roof. We just replaced the garage roof this spring with a tear-off. Hard to imagine a roof would last that long but Tom kept raking off the snow until he passed away in 2010. About 18 months ago I met Mort at the Tosa Ace which we will always call Puhl's. I thought he was an employee but he recognized me and offered to help find whatever it was I thought I needed. All these years I have saluted the house on Wisconsin Ave when driving by. Mort, I wish you peace. To the family I wish you many happy memories.

Sincere sympathy Joanne and family. Had the privilege to camp at Gulf Breeze with you, and so enjoyed cards with Mort for 20 years. Would not be the same without the bib overhaul guy! Our camping days are over, but will never forget Mort, was a privilege and honor to know him.

There are some who bring a light so great to the world, that even after they have gone the light remains. We think about you always. We talk about you still. You have never been forgotten and never will. We hold you close within our hearts, and there you will remain. To walk and guide us through our lives, until we meet again. With bravery and strength you served with dignity and pride you stood. With courage and hope you frought our nations enemies both foreign and domestic. We thank you for all that you did. Thank you for making sure we do not lose our freedoms. I feel truly honored to have known a man like you.
