(Nee Swenson) Passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 20, 2019 at age 95. Preceded in death by her husband, William Sommers. Loving mother of Robert (Mary) Sommers and Barbara (Lawrence) Gardner. Proud grandma of Laura (Daniel) Callaway and Kathy (Garrett) Soderberg, Cindy (Eric) Vanselow and Gary Gardner. Cherished great-grandma of Benjamin, Elizabeth and Jonathan Callaway, Sam Byrne, Natasha (Dennis) Gahagan, Nicole (Michael) Zastrow and great-great grandma of Brennan Gahagan and Willow Zastrow. Further survived by other dear relatives and friends.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Thursday, June 27, 2019 from 9:30 AM to 11:15 AM. Funeral Service at 11:30 AM. Interment Highland Memorial Park.

I couldn’t have asked for a better mother-in-law, very caring and loving of family and friends. Peggy loved to talk and could start up a conversation with almost anyone, and most of the time ending by her talking about her family and how proud she was of them. Peggy loved to read; taking picture was right up there too, although her letter writing was her specialty, very vivid and always with great detail. Peggy could have written a book. Peggy’s gift giving was very important and she would look hi and low to find something special for that special person. Peggy didn’t get that right all the time, but you had to love that she put her heart into every gift she gave. Peggy will be missed, although her memories will live on.
David and Christine Hofmeister left a message on June 26, 2019:
Seems like just yesterday--we were at Bill's funeral and everyone was worried about how Peggy was going to get along without him. Well it seems as if Peggy was a little more independent than anyone gave her credit for--since that was almost 18 years ago. Condolences to family but congratulations to Peggy for a life well-lived.
