Marit Ingrid Hoff (nee Holton)

Passed into Eternal Life on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at age 75. Beloved wife of the late Ronald for 52 years. Loving mother of Jennifer (Tyler) Hauser, Steven (Debra) Hoff and Karen (Patrick) McCoy. Proud grandma of Jackson, Austin and Mason Hauser, Brandon and Bryce Hoff and Connor, Greta, Clare, Marta and the late Graham McCoy. Dog mom of Molly. Daughter of the late Hans and Irene Holton. Also loved by other relatives and friends.

Marit was a long-time member of the Sons of Norway. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing and quilting, singing in the Church Choir at Mount Hope Church and Christ the Servant for many years. She supported all activities her kids were involved in. Later on, Marit enjoyed volunteering as an election poll worker and at the Sussex Outreach Services. Weekends were spent up north at the cabin with cousins and family. Most of all she enjoyed being a super fan grandma who loved spending time with her grandchildren. Marit loved to travel. Train trips across the country to California with her Grandma Svien. Driving trips all over the country as the kids were growing up. 3 trips to Norway to visit family and friends. Mexico and Jamaica beach vacations with Ron. Trips to Disney with the grandkids. Her dream trip to Hawaii last August.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Saturday, May 21, 2022, 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Funeral Service at 4:00 PM. Private burial at Highland Memorial Park.

To the family of Marit Hoff my deepest sympathy She and myself have been members of Fosselyngen lodge over 55 years Our prayers are with the family.

We send our sympathies to Jenny, Steve and karen. We loved both your parents and have many happy memories of time together at the Sons of Norway. I fondly remember demonstrating lefse making with Marit at the Scandinavian Festival. . Marit was one of the super moms…always ready to help out at school. God bless you and comfort you at this time.

My sincere thoughts and prayers are with Marit's family and all of us who knew her and loved her since childhood. So many wonderful, happy memories I have. She was 2 years younger than me, my little cousin. Our families spent a lot of time together up north and we always fun on the lake and sight seeing with our parents. Too many memories to recount them all. God Bless you Marit. Such a wonderful, kind and giving person. We will miss you!

Dear Marit— Cousin and Sister to the Svien kids! We love you, we miss you, and cherish all our fun, happy, and tender memories of you. You now are present with family on the other side of the veil and dancing with them as you danced with us. We say goodbye for awhile- the last goodbye. Next time we meet will be with an eternal “Hello” ringing all around us.
