On December 1, 2017, our wonderful sister, aunt, friend and colleague, Marjorie Ann Wilbur, completed her life’s journey here on earth and began her eternal life, joining her loving parents, Paul and Dorothy.
A nurse, hospital administrator and spiritual advisor, Marjorie led a life of service to God and those around her here on earth, touching the lives of many in countless ways. She has provided inspiration in word and thought to those who met her. Her thoughtful generosity will always be remembered.
Marjorie looked forward to family events with her brothers Michael (Sandra) and Peter (Patricia) Wilbur as well as nieces Sarah Wilbur, Rebecca Wilbur and nephew Matthew and his wife Nilsa Wilbur. One of her special joys in life was spending time with her sweet grand-nephews, Aiden and Lucas Wilbur, as well as the 4 “other boys” in her extended family circle.
Marjorie enjoyed the company of her many friends from college, work, church and spiritual counseling. Dining out, travel and going to the theatre were some of her favorite activities. Her “burger buddies” and “play with your food” group can attest to that. Her fondest memories and adventures always seemed to include her “sister of the heart” and dearest friend, Jan Weinfurt.
The last year was a challenging one for Marjorie and her family as she fought cancer. Marjorie was always strong in her faith, herself and her God. This gave her the courage to face her ordeal and the peace of mind to know she was nearing the completion of her journey to eternal life.
Marjorie and her family would like you to join them in celebrating her life with a memorial visitation starting at 9:00 AM followed by a Mass at 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 21 at Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish, 116th and Greenfield in West Allis. A private inurnment will be held.
