Melody “Mel” Alther, 63, of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on May 6th, 2023. This world has lost a beloved wife, sister, aunt, mother, and grandmother.
Mel was born June 12th, 1959, in Howell, Michigan. After graduating in 1977, Mel soon found success in the field of accounting. Although she spent all day crunching numbers, her life was anything but dull! She was a strong, fierce, fun-loving woman who enjoyed both riding and racing motorcycles, spending time with friends and family, shooting billiards with her husband, and cuddling with her fur babies.
Mel was a source of inspiration and light to many, and her presence in this earthly realm will be forever missed. Mel is survived by: her husband, Robert Alther; her siblings, Tim (Brenda) Holman, John (Lisa) Holman, Wanda Jones, and Cynthia Coloma; her three children, Pamela (Zachary) Love, Mike (Cassandra Thomas) Crandon, and Casey (Veronica Toro) Crandon; and her five precious grandchildren, Aiden Love, Greyson Love, Lunah Love, Sebastian Crandon, and Thomas Crandon.
She was preceded in death by: her brothers, Billy and Pete Holman; and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at the Bennett-Barz Funeral Home, in Beulah. Visitation will take place from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the funeral home. A reception will be held at the Platte River Association Hall, in Honor, Michigan immediately following the service.
