Called home to God on Sunday, June 7, 2020, age 72. Loving husband of Ginny for 47 years. Devoted father of Shannon (TJ) Carlson, Kurt Sarcia and John (Katie) Sarcia. Beloved grandpa of Peyton, Brody, Aubrey, Bryce, Taylor, Wesley, Carter and Kinslee. Adoring son of Mary (the late Victor) Sarcia. Brother of Doug (Becky), Steve (Nancy), Kathy, Debbie and Barb (Bob). Further survived by many family and friends.
Mike was dedicated and loyal in everything that he did as demonstrated by his 37 year career with Kemper Insurance. During his tenure, he formed many close friendships with the people that he worked with. When Mike retired from the insurance industry he joined Ginny in a second career, caring for their 8 grandkids.
Mike was a passionate sports fan. His favorite teams included the Pewaukee Muskies and Pirates, as well as the Chicago Cubs, Bulls and Bears – which he took a lot of flak for living in Wisconsin. He passed along his love for sports to his kids and grandkids and he loved coaching, mentoring, and watching them play.
Mike enjoyed spending time with friends and cherished Friday night dinners, Saturday night cards, Sunday Church and breakfast club, and get togethers with high school and college friends. He was easy to like and well known within the community.
Gathering will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin, on Saturday, June 20, 2020, 11:00 AM – 1:45 PM. Memorial service at 2:00 PM.
Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at Prohealth, Waukesha Memorial, Froedtert and Seasons Hospice for their compassionate care.
