Myrtle A. Condon

(Nee Griesmer) answered the Lord’s Calling on Tuesday, November 12, 2019. Age 93. Reunited with her loving husband of 66 years, John F. Condon. Devoted mother of Karen (Brian) Wexler, (the late Janet) (Gunner) Heim, Barbara (Chuck) Neubert, Kenneth (Gwen) Condon, Paul (Nancy) Condon, Therese (Tim) Goetz, Robert (Lisa) Condon, and Joseph (Cheryl) Condon. Preceded in death by her infant son, Timothy. Proud grandma of 32 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Joan Coffey, Grace Grinwald, Henry and Donald Griesmer. Preceded in death by Margaret McGrath, Mary Beine, Raymond, Willard, and James Griesmer. Also loved by many other family and friends.

Born in the Town of Merton to Henry and Hattie Griesmer.  As a child, Myrtle enjoyed swimming and ice skating on the Oconomowoc River with her brothers and sisters.  She married John Condon on May 14, 1947 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Thompson, WI.  They operated a dairy farm in the Town of Lisbon for over 40 years.  She was a wonderful role model making faith and family her priorities.  Myrtle was an excellent seamstress and baker.  She was many decades ahead of her time with farm-to-table cooking and the going green movement as she would let nothing go to waste.  She always loved a good puzzle challenge or card game. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Kirkland Crossings or to Queen of Apostles Church for Masses in Myrtle’s name.

Visitation at Queen of Apostles, N35 W23360 Capitol Drive, Pewaukee, Wisconsin on Saturday, November 16, 2019, from 12:00 PM – 1:15 PM. Mass of Christian Burial 1:30 PM.  Burial at St. Mary’s Catholic Church Cemetery in Pewaukee.
