Nicholas T. Christon, 92, of Brookfield, WI, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday September 30, 2021, after a short illness. Nicholas was born in Milwaukee, WI, where he raised his family and worked as an accountant for more than seventy years (Reilly, Penner and Benton, and Wisconsin Vision and Hearing; Nick also had several special private clients, including the George family with whom he worked since 1962).

 

Nick was predeceased by his wife of fifty years, Josephine (nee O’Hara), his parents Hericlea and Thomas, mother-in-law (Helen O’Hara Grassel), brother Jim (and Bess), sister Xanthippe (Joe) and niece Darlene.

 

Nick is survived by his children Tom (Chris), daughters Barb (Larry, Mark dec.) and Ellen, and granddaughters Katie, Sarah, and Emily. Nick is further survived by his brother Harry, sisters-in-law Pat (Mike) and Kathy, brother-in-law Jim, and nieces and nephews, Debbie (Jack), Jim (Lisa), Mary (John), Pete (Jina), Matt (Jacky), Laura and Linda.

 

A special thank you to the staff at Amada Senior Care and Compassionate Care Hospice for kind attention to Nick during the last few weeks of his illness.

 

Visitation at the Krause Funeral Home, 9000 West Capitol Drive, Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on Thursday, October 7, from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM.  Brief Service 12:00 PM.  Interment at Pinelawn Memorial Park.

Sitting in Michigan thinking of baklava and Mr. Christon. Your Father was the best of what is lost in our fast paced angry world.. Kind, considerate, unpretentious, a man who loved his family and job. He was a true gentleman and someone I've been so fortunate to know. Barb you will never regret moving back to be near your Father. I know how much he appreciated your visits and being close.. Ellen it was so nice to have all of his children near him. May he Rest In Peace and I hope we all meet on the other side. Sorry I'm not there. Looking forward to a Friday night fish fry and Old Fashionds to celebrate his life.

Saddened to hear of Nick's passing. As the Administrative Asst. at Wisconsin Vision I had the privilege of working with Nick for over 30 years. He was so nice, and loved how he would joke and then sit in his chair and laugh. Always a pleasure to be around. He will be missed by all.
