Ottilie “Tillie” Sindermann (nee Rassmann) of New Berlin, WI died peacefully in her home on June 28, 2020. She was 96 years old. She was born on August 6, 1923, to Otto and Klara Rassmann in Wiesbaden, Germany.
Tillie was blessed to be surrounded and visited by family who deeply loved her. Her love for her German culture shined through every part of her personality and interests. Over the years, she had many beloved pets and took great care of her garden. Her greatest skill was her ability to knit blankets and clothes for her loved ones. She would sit for hours, working on her beautiful masterpieces.
Tillie is preceded in death by her loving husband of 24 years, Ernst Sindermann and brothers-in-law Franz (Adelgunde), George, and Raymond Sindermann. She is also preceded in death by her sister, Clare Varner, and brother, Arnold Bauer. She is survived by her daughter, Ursula Young; sister-in-law Helen (Roger) Rupnow and grandchildren, Christine McConnell, David (Shakira) Young, and Karen (James) Blunk; and great-grandchildren Jacqueline-Nicole, Elijah, Lily, Kristen, Isaac, Samuel, Sadie, and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Thursday, July 2, 2020, from 11:00 AM – 12:45 PM. Funeral service at 1:00 PM. Burial at Highland Memorial Park.
