Patrick “Pat” D. Reynolds

Pat graced this world with his presence in June of 1942, the oldest of 8 children, and on October 14^th, 2017 he left this world to be with our Heavenly Father, his son Jayson and the rest of his family and friends that have passed before him.

Pat was a man of adventure, working in tanneries until finally opening his own company, Modern Cabinet & Restaurant Equipment, installing commercial restaurant equipment and bars. In 1989 Pat would go on to suffer the beginning of years of serious health issues; all of which tried to take his life.  Pat would not allow it.  His family lovingly called him “the Energizer Bunny” because of his ability to “take a licking and keep on ticking.”

Pat loved many things such as riding his scooter illegally down major highways, telling bad jokes at inappropriate times and taking his car or truck off-roading at Slinger Speedway, local nurseries or just anyone’s yard. Pat could be hard to find, but always made for wonderful stories.

As Pat and his wife Kay needed more help, they moved into an assisted living and from then on nothing but havoc ensued. His devilish grin helped him get out of many bad spots.  Pat learned how to hate pureed food, all crushed medications and being dumped out of his wheelchair by his wife. He loved to drive his daughters crazy, but they wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.  Pat left this world the same way he came in: sassy, fun and his finger in the air.

He will be dearly missed by the love of his life, Kay, two daughters Jennifer (Michael) McLeod and Allison (Brian) Bender, his grandchildren Lauren, Colt, Jayson, Gracelyn and Boone as well as all his family and friends.  He was proceeded in death by his parents John and Lillian Reynolds, his in-laws Arthur and Ethel VanSlett and his precious son, Jayson.  Pat is standing by their side now and watching over us.

Pat was a thinker often telling bad jokes but had one motto in life, “no matter where you go, there you are!”

Family wishes to thank the loving staff at Hartland Terrace Assisted Living for their wonderful care and Hometown Hospice for helping him and his family through his needs at end of life. Both care teams went over and beyond anything Pat could have wanted, thank you.

Visitation at Krause Funeral Home, 21600 West Capitol Drive, Brookfield, Wisconsin on Friday, October 20, 2017, 5:00 PM – 6:45 PM. Memorial Service at 7:00 PM.
