Roberta Boyle (nee Fink), a native of Kansas and former longtime resident of Mobile, Alabama, died Friday, December 2, 2022 in Wauwatosa, WI. She was 83 years old.
Roberta was born the second of five children to Lawrence and Barbara (nee Nusse) Fink on May 12, 1939, in Salina, Kansas. There she took a job at Spring Hill College where she met and later married Charles Boyle. In addition to her various roles at Spring Hill, Roberta spent many years working as a paralegal in Mobile law firms.
Roberta was quick-witted, creative, and compassionate. She loved John Wayne movies, crossword puzzles, and the time she spent in Italy.
She is survived by her two daughters: Katie Boyle (David Earle) of Wellington, New Zealand and Bridget (Patrick) Lafferty of Wauwatosa, WI; her three grandchildren: Aidan Lafferty, Conor Lafferty, and Charlotte Earle; her siblings and in-laws: Timothy (Becky) Fink, Linda Stone, and Dennis (Veronica) Fink; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Charlie, her parents, and her sister Paula Wood.
