Rosalea N. Oliva (nee Francaviglia) called to eternal life at age 99 on September 30, 2023.
Reunited with her beloved husband, Quentin (Queenie). Loving mother of Connie and John (Bridget). Loving grandmother of Christopher. Preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Nancy, brothers, Joseph and Francisco, as well as her sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Rosie loved her family with all her heart. Family always came first. Rosie is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Rosie was a long-time member of St. Rita’s Parish on Milwaukee’s lower east side, devoting many hours cooking for and working the spaghetti dinners and festivals. She was active in the Italian Community Center volunteering her time to Festa Italiana. She was also a long-time member of the Ladies of Unico and the Milwaukee Retired Police Association. In her many decades of work, Rosie had one employer, First Wisconsin Bank/U.S. Bank. Of the many aunts and uncles from the greatest generation, Rosie was the last to be called home. We can only imagine the joyful reunion and the many “discussions” around the table.
The family would like to thank the compassionate staff of Care-Age of Brookfield for their wonderful care of Rosie.
Services will be held at Krause Funeral Home, 12401 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin on Thursday, October 12, 2023. Visitation is from 9:30 AM – 10:45 AM. Service to immediately follow. Burial will be private for family.
