Rosalie Blando Schober of Brookfield, Wisconsin, most beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother, entered eternal life at age 91 on Tuesday, July 17, 2018, surrounded by all of her children and their spouses. Rosalie was born on April 16, 1927 in Waukesha to Thomas Blando and Carmela (Destefano) Blando. She found the love of her life in Theodore Schober, whom she married on January 27, 1945 and shared over fifty happy years. Her spirit lives on in her family, including her seven children, T. Michael (Barbara), Thomas (Patricia), Susan (Robert) Kinosian, John (Cheryl), Stephen (Lynn), Marilyn (David) Lefaivre, and Laurie (Patrick) Carnahan, and daughter-in-law Lorelei Jones Schober, her 25 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Further survived by many dear relatives and friends in New Berlin, Green Lake, Fox Lake, and Naples. Preceded in death by her loving parents, sisters Frances, Mary, Betty, and Ellen, and her brother Tommy. Rosalie attended St. Joseph’s Grade School and graduated from Waukesha High School in 1944.
She extended her motherly kindness and caring beyond her 78 family members, their friends and her own, to the couple waiting in line, the anxious person in the doctor’s waiting room, the over-worked van driver, the youngster awaiting therapy, and numerous non-profit organizations working to improve the quality of life for others. Rosalie was never in a room of strangers.
Join family and friends for a celebration of Rosalie’s life on Friday, July 27, with a visitation at Holy Apostles Church 9:00 AM to 10:45 AM. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Private interment at a later date.
Rosalie’s gentle spirit, generosity, and compassion touched countless lives. Her days began in prayer and ended with sunsets on the beach or her wine deck. Her family is grateful for the skilled care of Dr. Martin Kern, who gave them many additional years with her.
