I just learned that Sister Mary Ruth passed. I so wish I could have been there to say my goodbyes. She was such a special person in my life. She was there when I was born six weeks early 54 years ago in West Bend. She became like a family member to our family. Even after being in the hospital for six weeks she would come and visit my family. We sent birthday and Christmas over the years. She always called me her little Lisa. I was only 3 lbs 6 ozs when I was born. We lost touch with her but I so wish I could have kept in touch with her longer. She will always have a special place in my heart.

Sister Mary Ruth watched over my twins in NICU when they were born 10 weeks early. This was 18 years ago. I spent everyday at the hospital and was blessed to know and interact with her. Just today, when going through the memory boxes, we found the cards and letters she sent to my twins on their first birthdays. What an angel she was.

I just was made aware of sister’s passing. I came to know her through a friend as she was his nurse when born. I didn’t know her well, nor for long but she had such a spirit about her. Her smile, her eyes were beams of happiness and warmth. I am blessed to have met her and to have known someone who so personified faith, devotion and love-not only to those of us on Earth for to God.

Thank you for all you have accomplished. We tried to contact you 30 or 40 years ago, calling the convent and they said you had passed away then. Sorry we couldn't make it to the funeral...

Sister,You will be missed and thousands of babies thank you for all the love and cuddling you gave them I was honored to be your friend for many years while at Good Samaritan in Phoenix, giving the babies their guardian angel cards. You were small but mighty! Much love and appreciation for you.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Sister Mary Ruth was my 4th, 5th & 6th grade teacher at St. Peter's Catholic School in Sisseton, SD. I have so many good memories. Since she was such a good teacher, I learned the fundamental rules so the rest of my education was easier; She taught me Arithmetic, especially multiplication & division. I used Math my whole working career. I was glad I reconnected with Sister in Phoenix & again at Milwaukee. She was very special to me.
