Stephanie Lynn Zachow, born June 21st, 1992, was called to her eternal home on Thursday, April 23rd, 2020, at the age of 27.
Stephanie was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to her loving parents Randy (Heidi) Zachow and Debbie (Dominic) Arata. Sister to Christine (Stephen) Robers, Randy (Kyal) Zachow, and Ryan Zachow. A loving aunt to Mason and Addison Robers (godchild). Survived by her grandmothers Rita Zachow and Muriel Jackson. She is preceded in death by grandparents William and Marilyn Zachow, Donald and Lois Doffek, Walter Jackson, and Louis and Dorothy Arata. Survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, and lifelong friends.
Stephanie had a nickname, “Peanut”, lovingly given to her by her Father. Growing up in New Berlin, Stephanie always had quite the imagination. She loved swimming in the family backyard pool, listening to music, athletics, and following around her siblings like a shadow. Stephanie attended Star of Bethlehem K-8 where she shined in the sport of cross country and volleyball. She went to New Berlin West high school where she excelled in art class, volleyball, track, and being a constant class clown. Stephanie attended Waukesha County Technical College taking courses to obtain a certificate in AODA counseling. Stephanie did have her struggles, but she was constantly looking to improve her life and the lives of others. Stephanie’s path in life took her to a variety of jobs at Kohls Department Store, restaurants, hotels, and lastly at Metro Market in Shorewood. No matter what job she held, her employer would be impressed to find someone that worked hard and put as much passion into their work as she did.
In the fall of 2014, Stephanie moved to Prescott, AZ. Stephanie found herself and blossomed by finding out what she really loved in life. She found a love for yoga, meditation, fitness, hiking, camping, and being outdoors. She found and cherished friendships that would continue throughout her life. She moved back to Milwaukee, WI where she persevered and worked two jobs at Roots Recovery and Metro Market in the produce department. She was on the frontline during the Covid-19 pandemic. When you would see her working her hat would be a little tilted to the side her hair disheveled holding the price checker “at the ready” to place a price on any fruit or vegetable that passed her by! She enjoyed going on walks, out for coffee or dinner, or just simply the comradery with her friends and family. Stephanie’s goal was to have her first apartment in Milwaukee and she signed a lease in March of 2020.
Stephanie had the best laugh, was consistently the loudest person in the room, and strived to show love to everyone that she met. She always ended every call, text, or hangout with “I Love You”. Stephanie loved animals and children, especially her nephew Mason and niece Addison. They were the light of her life. Stephanie loved to be surrounded by people but loved her own space. She left a lasting impression on everyone she met. She strived to keep harmony and happiness. Stephanie touched more lives than she realized and put a smile on everyone’s face.
Stephanie’s passion was to spread love and happiness to everyone around her with her infectious laugh. Let us remember Stephanie and celebrate her life. Until we meet again!
