Wayne was born in St. Louis, MO, attended Missouri School of Mines & Metallurgy. Upon graduation he took a job with Allis Chalmers and its spin-offs Boliden-Allis and Svedala Industries (now Metso Mineral Industries). Although his degree was in civil engineering, he worked in all aspects of the engineering field which took him to many areas of the world. He proudly served in the Navy, as well.
Wayne was a kind, generous and gentle man who was well respected by all. He was accepting of everyone and never critical . His faith was all important to him which led him to go on mission trips in this country and Central America. He shared his skills with Habitat for Humanity for 20 years. His leisure time was spent golfing, skiing and following the Packers. His love for family was evident and he loved singing to the grandchildren.
