William L. Donnelly

William L. Donnelly, 85, of New Berlin, Wisconsin passed away on October 13, 2021. Beloved husband of Norma Donnelly (nee Harding). Loving father of Susan Donnelly. Caring grandfather of Ryan, Jimmy, Jose, and Mark James. Great grandfather of Anna Marie. Loving stepfather of Patrice (Robert) Olin, Joyce (Timothy) Hall, David (Katrin) Breitweiser, Martha (Daniel) Wenzel and Thomas (Amy) Breitweiser. Also beloved by nieces and nephews, many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren from his marriage to Norma, other relatives and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents Francis and Kathyleen, son Mark, daughter Bonnie (John) Schaper, grandson Joseph, and stepdaughter Ann (Keith) Lepak.

Bill lived his early life in the LaSalle-Peru area of Illinois, later moving to Wisconsin. He enjoyed a teaching career in the Washington-Caldwell and Whitnall school districts and MATC, from which he retired.

He had a love of music, especially country, bluegrass and Irish, singing and playing the guitar with several groups for many years. Travel was another of his interests, especially during his retirement years.

Bill enjoyed lively conversations, special desserts, the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers. In his earlier years, hiking was also a pleasure for him. His warm smile and interest in whoever he was with will be greatly missed.

Visitation at Holy Apostles Church, 16000 West National Avenue, New Berlin, Wisconsin, on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM. Funeral Mass immediately following at 11:00 AM. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to the charity of your choice will be appreciated.
